Our SDG Commitment
In order to achieve the targets set out under the SDGs, the Daiei Kankyo Group is committed to the following.
Electricity Generation

We will increase renewable energy generation
through solar power
generation and biomass power generation,
contributing to cleaner
communities and energy sources.
The Daiei Kankyo Group generates solar power as one of the ways of utilizing final disposal sites. We also generate renewable energy through biomass power generation using waste, wood chips, and wood from thinning as fuel, thereby helping to make communities and energy cleaner.
Promotion of Resource Recycling

We will increase the amount of recycled resources by
highly efficient recycling of various waste materials,
which are irreplaceable resources.
With the recognition that waste is a precious resource, we play a role in the recycling of resources by converting waste into new resources and reusing them in other products instead of simply disposing of them. We undertake a variety of recycling activities, such as initiating a food recycling loop in which vegetables are grown using compost made from food waste, as well as the recycling of waste plastic from households to be turned into products or supplied as raw materials for such products.
Support for Disaster Recovery

We will fulfill our social responsibility by signing
disaster agreements and expanding orders
for disaster waste management plans,
aiming to dispose of disaster waste
as soon as possible for rapid recovery and reconstruction.
Japan is a country prone to earthquakes and other natural disasters which have been occurring frequently in recent years. Once a disaster strikes, urban functions come to a halt and daily life becomes difficult. We have been providing support services throughout the country in an effort to ensure that disaster waste is disposed of as quickly as possible to facilitate speedy restoration and recovery. We aim to reinforce business continuity in preparation for possible future disasters.
Promotion of Forest Management Projects

We will contribute to the revitalization of Japan’s forestry industry by developing efficient forest management projects that balance the environment and the economy.
General Agriculture & Forestry Co., Ltd. owns forests in 29 locations throughout Japan totaling 8,170 hectares.
Through diverse forestation undertaken with a long-term perspective in mind, we will provide various forest services in a sustainable manner to the community, including timber production, disaster prevention, biodiversity, and landscaping.
Strengthening of Partnerships

We will contribute to resolving various social issues
through active communication and strengthening of partnerships.
We developed the Izumi Recycling Environment Park on the site of a former final disposal site in Izumi City. This facility is open to the local community free of charge.
Ever since our founding, we have consistently worked in harmony with local communities, and our business cannot exist without the understanding and cooperation of local residents.
We will deepen our partnerships with a range of concerned parties, continuing to be an active participant in local communities so that people, industry, and nature can coexist in harmony.
Building of Local Circular Ecological Spheres

We will promote the building of Local Circular Ecological Spheres in order to solve problems and contribute to local communities through efficient infrastructure development based on private-sector ideas.
Commitment to Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 2050

We will evaluate the amount of CO2 emissions
emitted from our business activities,
analyze their causes, and reduce emissions.
Diversity Promotion

We will realize diversity by creating workplaces
where everyone can make
the most of their individuality
and play an active role in their own way.
