Daiei Kankyo plays an important role as social infrastructure to support our lives through the management and recycling of waste generated by
households, plants, and other facilities, and the generation of renewable
energy.
For example, we transform food waste from grocery stores and food
processing plants into compost and biogas.

We also handle combustible waste and bulky waste instead of
municipalities.
In addition, we help municipalities dispose of debris when a disaster occurs
and formulate plans for processing in advance.

Daiei Kankyo is also enhancing recycling technology to enable any types of waste to be managed, based on the conviction that “waste is a recyclable resource.”

History of Daiei Kankyo
Daiei Kankyo was established in 1979. We started with final disposal
business. We then quickly launched a recycling business to conduct our
business long-term.
The Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995 became one major turning
point. Many municipalities affected by the disaster asked us to help with
processing debris, and our entire company worked as a team to dispose of
the massive amount of debris.

That led to trust with municipalities we have today.
We also utilize our former final disposal sites to give back to the community.
The Izumi Recycling Environmental Park opened in 2001 is a symbol of our gratitude to everyone in the local government and community.

The completion of Mie Energy Plaza in 2013 was another major turning point. This facility embodied our founding philosophy of “from treatment to recycling,” and contributed to our financial performance along with the
expansion in the number of municipalities we work with.

The Company was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime
Market in December 2022.
As the Daiei Kankyo Group had 32 Group companies and over 2,000
employees, we aimed to establish an organization in line with Japan’s
Corporate Governance Code to achieve sustainable growth in the future.
Our Group has another purpose. Although waste management is an
important business that is an integral part of the social infrastructure, it has
sometimes been viewed in a negative light. We hope to dispel such an
impression and want everyone to know that we are a highly transparent
company.

40 million tons of CO2 per year. Just under 90% of those emissions come
from waste incineration and landfill.
